Ashnil Aruba Lodge Tsavo
Straight from the time we drove in, we could see that Ashnil Aruba Lodge Tsavo have invested heavily in hiring good people. Check in was really fast and after that we were shown to the room by a security guard called Mike.
He was really good and pointed out many things to us during the walk there. We were asked to choose between 2 tents, 401 and 405. by the way its more expensive to stay in a tent than a room but if you can afford the extra bit, then go ahead cause its worth it. 
The Ashnil Aruba Lodge Tsavo takes its name from the Aruba Dam, an oasis of limpid brown water that forms an irresistible attraction to both man and beast in this otherwise dry dusty Tsavo East National Park. The tents are quite nicely done, with really nice comforters and a pedestal fan in the front. this fan is necessary as it does get hot in the daytime.
The shower is nice as is the loo. They have even put in a safe into the room for your use free of charge.The reason why I give this lodge 5 star is because they have not tried to cut corners the way other lodges do and they keep the generator on all day and all night. Its necessary cause the fans kept the tent cool. Other camps switch off the generator the moment the last guest leaves the bar and they are not making any more money for that evening.
The bar staff also had no qualms about handing out ice to the drivers during the afternoon game drive and these are the small touches that make someone want to go back again. We were once charged for ice, by a lodge on the border of the park at Voi, so this made us smile.
This is definitely a place to return to and I'd recommend it to anyone visiting Tsavo East for the simple reason that its inside the park and its also very close to the major game viewing areas. The other reason would be that there are always lions around the lodge so you re guaranteed a sighting. We even heard them not far off, when we were sleeping on the first night.
The accommodation consists of 40 deluxe rooms each has a terrace overlooking the plains or the Aruba dam. Each room is designed to provide utmost comfort ensuring a pleasant stay. The rooms contain an en suite toilet and shower facility with bathroom accessories.A variety of room types are available: double rooms, triple rooms, rooms for the physically challenged and adjoining rooms, making it family friendly.
There are various exciting activities are offered at Ashnil Aruba Lodge Tsavo . Guided nature walks in the wilderness brings one close to nature. Discover various flora and fauna specific to the park. Enjoy a delightful swimming pool which is overlooking Aruba Dam, a fine restaurant, a well stocked bar, a souvenir shop and conferencing facilities.
