Castle Royal Hotel Mombasa Castle Royal Hotel Mombasa located in Mombasa town Center near the favourite Mombasa ivory statues and is a favourite of all visitors to Mombasa. It is located on Moi Avenue, and is only 10 minutes from the Old Mombasa Town (Mji wa Kale) and the world famous Fort Jesus where the rich Swahili culture complements leisure. The wonderful, breezy terrace cafe is a perfect place to relax and cool down after all that walking! The rooms have a huge safe which is really useful. The corridors are great, really beautifully tiled and airy. The best thing about this hotel though is the staff. The restaurant served a buffet breakfast and a la carte for lunch and dinner. An ice cream shop is off to one side near the bar. The hotel is really convenient if you want to see the central attractions - fort Jesus etc. and just if you want to get away from the beach life. The food there is reasonably priced and nice, plus the ice cream parlor has some great flavours. You can also get some good snacky type food there - cheese puffs, samosas etc.
