Emin Pasha Hotel KampalaEmin Pasha Hotel Kampala is beautiful, tranquil, verdant; the moment I arrived I felt at ease. This sense of well-being was in part prompted by lovely views over Nasakero Hill, beautiful grounds, spotless, wonderfully comfortable and generously sized bedrooms and bathrooms.
Emin Pasha's restaurant provided some of the best food I've eaten in a long time. Wonderful fish and the beautifully subtle dishes like the paneer lentil salad with chat masala dressing have stayed in my mind for the last month. The restaurant and bar are open onto the grounds which make for a very pleasant environment.
Their staff also achieve the brilliant combination of being both wonderfully professional and at the same time, low key and relaxed. I visited the spa on a couple of occasions. The hotel shop is yet another joy. Many beautiful treasures to be found and wonderful people, who runs the shop knows their stock very well and can explain its origins. She was a pleasure to meet.
And here it is: for all the luxury, beautiful decor, exquisite food, lovely surroundings, it is people who make a place. And in the end it was the Emin Pasha staff who created the hotel's wonderful ambiance. From the maids, to the restaurant staff, to reception, I have seldom met a friendlier, more welcoming group of interesting, engaging and engaged people.
Emin Pasha hotel Kampala is located right at the middle of Kampala, the capital city of Uganda, and sits on a two- acre land in the middle of excellent big trees and flowering shrubs. It is surrounded by gorgeous grounds with beautiful trees providing shelter to the well maintained grass. The hotel provides enough accommodation facilities, in twenty rooms and one self-contained flat, while still maintaining personal attention and high level of service to each guest. The hotel restaurant and wine bar, FEZ, is open to the public as well as to guests.
The staff is courteous to the visitors, which makes them come back to the hotel whenever they are or visit to Kampala.
