Fairland University in Uganda When Fairland College came into existence in 2001 it was housed in a congested residential house on plot 39 Mvule crescent in Jinja town. Ownership The University, founded by a business company, Fairland University Limited is licensed by the National Council for Higher Education. Accommodation: The students reside in hostels in the neighbourhood Accreditation The university is working on establishing accreditation to a number of Asian universities in the near future. Programmes offered Certificate, Diploma, Degree and Post-Graduate Courses in Arts, Economics & Management services, Education &Sports, Science & Technology and Theology as well as Religious Studies. Others are Business administration, Mass Communication, Development Studies, Business Administration and Guidance & Counselling. Distance learning programmes are also available.Plans are underway to introduce a degree in nursing and information technology by August this year.
