What a fantastic Fairmont Hotel Zanzibar. We stayed in the Asali Suite (Honeymoon Suite) and were spoilt rotten! It was such a huge space for 2 people, but soooo relaxing . 
The Asali Suite really is the place to go for a very quiet and romantic honeymoon though - we were not on honeymoon, just a leisure time! We had our own personal chefs who would take our food orders and cook whatever we wanted, it was just great. Zanzibar is home to some of the most pristine beaches in the world. White sand, palm trees, beautiful shells and crystal clear ocean waters are a highlight of this paradise island. Fairmont Zanzibar is located on the beach. The guests can simply relax on the beach or participate in activities like jogging, beach volleyball, bike riding, and beach games. Horseback riding as well as motorbike hire can also be arranged for trips along the beach. 
The resort offers two beachside pools. One includes a children's pool, while the other (Quiet Pool) offers a swim-up bar. The Fitness Centre features a well-equipped and maintained gym with modern equipment. The Burahi Spa opens in December 2008 and It will offer a wide range of treatments and massages using the finest selection of Zanzibar infused products.
Located at the resort is a PADI (SUBEX) dive centre, which facilitates all the water sports imaginable including exceptional Zanzibar scuba diving excursions and dive training. It has a fully equipped dive center that has a decompression chamber. Trade winds family restaurant will cater to even the most discerning of palates. The Zama Lounge offers a menu inspired by the influences of Arabic African cuisines and the Nahodha Lounge offers small bites throughout the day. One can also enjoy the Mchanga Pool side Bar, the Mwanga Pool side Bar and in-room dining is available upon request. Water sports take place on-site, in the Indian Ocean. The Fairmont's Zanzibar accommodations are located on white sand beaches overlooking the Indian Ocean and its spectacular coral reefs.
