Gay Foreigners in Uganda safe?

I would like to visit Uganda for a professional trip, and see the country a bit. I am a lesbian, however and have heard that anti-gay actions and attitudes cause many gay Ugandans trouble. Does this also apply to foreigners? Would it be safe to travel there? The organization inviting me would take care of arranging my travel there, but would they be able to ensure safety?

MY ANSWER

As long as you are not showing out that you are a lesbian, nobody cares. The problem comes when you engage it to the underage and your are reported to the authorities.
