Jamiat Hotel Nairobi room itself was quite classy. With nice white bedding and dark wooden furniture. I was very pleased with the nice brand new fixtures in the bathroom.
All in all I would definitely stay again and would recommend it for a reliable comfortable room which will get you close enough to the downtown attractions that you will not need a taxi (except after dark), and if you do need a taxi it will only be a couple of shillings.

This proximity allows guests to spend on budget accommodation while attending big conferences & seminars in the centre of the city Opposite Jamiat Hotel Nairobi is the city market, the Kenya airways booking office, the Kenya Railways terminus and a two floor shopping area, with great shopping varieties thus making it a one stop shop.
Jamiat is run by professionals who give guests the best attention, the African smile, great nights sleep and a memorable breakfast.
Being the only non alcoholic hotel in town, Jamiat is proud to be associated with groups and individuals who require quite environment to transact their business, few bars near the hotel provide the extra convenience for those willing to have a relaxing evening whether on business or safari.
The location of this hotel is VERY good if you want easy access to the downtown. However downtown Nairobi has a bit of a reputation for crime and this particular hotel, though only blocks from the central corner, is in one of the areas with a poor reputation. So I would not say the location is for everyone.
