Location
Kiboga is bordered by Masindi District to the north, Nakaseke District to the east, Mityana District to the southeast, Mubende District to the south, Kibale District to the west and Hoima District to the northwest.
The coordinates of the district are:01 00N, 31 46E (Latitude:1.0000; Longitude:31.7667). The district headquarters at Kiboga are located approximately 133 kilometres (83 mi), by road, northwest of Kampala, Uganda's capital and largest city.
Overview
Kiboga district was formed in 1991. It is predominantly a rural district, covering approximately 4,045 square kilometres (1,562 sq mi), of which 3,892 square kilometres (1,503 sq mi) is land and 21 square kilometres (13,000 mi) is wetland.
The district is traversed by a major highway linking Kampala, Uganda's capital city to Hoima, the base of Uganda's petrochemical industry. The district is administered by the Kiboga District Administration, with headquarters at Kiboga. The urban centers in the district include:

•Nsambya

Population
The 2002 national census estimated the population of the district at 231,718, with an annual population growth rate of 3.2%. It is estimated that the population of the district in 2009 is about 288,881.
Economic activities
Agriculture is the mainstay of the district economy. It is estimated that 80% of the district labor force are engaged in agriculture.
Agriculture involves both crop and animal husbandry. Livestock is common in the northern areas of Luweero District. Subsistence agriculture is undertaken in the southern parts of the district. Crops grown include:
