LAKE KIFURUKA ECO- CAMPSITE, crater lakes area, 25km off Fort Portal on Fort Portal-Kasenda road.

by Tugume Emmanuel
(Fort Portal)

A community sustainable tourism project that formerly operated under the trade name LAKE LYANTONDE CAMPSITE&MAHOMA FALLS TOURS is now operating under a new name;LAKE KIFURUKA ECO-CAMP, a re-brand of former Lake Kifuruka campsite and nature paradise.

Although the campsite was established in July 2010, it boasts of the most friendly staff that had been operating the historical Lake Lyantonde community tourism project.

Lake Kifuruka Eco-camp is probably one of the most practical sustainable tourism projects which aims at enhancing general community development by supporting the education of the needy children, building classrooms and income generation for the desperately needy families.

This is done using proceeds from the campsite as well as revenue collected as entrance fees from the nature walks such as the Mahoma waterfall walk, crater lakes' exploration walks, etc.
The campsite offers budget accommodation,in the rooms, as well as camping on the leveled ground at the top of the hill.
delicious meals are available for both budget and Luxury clients.
You could contact them on +256-772-562513
Enjoy your trip

To Mr. Tugume, Please upload some 4 photos, people want to see what is on the ground.
