Langilangi Beach Bungalows Zanzibar The location of Langilangi Beach Bungalows Zanzibar is excellent. During low-tide (morning, early afternoon), there is plenty of beach right in front of the hotel. When the tide is high there is still beach on both sides of the hotel. LangiLangi is centered among a string of hotels, restaurants, and shops along the beach, and there is a convenient walkway that provides access to them. We enjoyed the restaurant's ambiance. Food was decent, and the menu has quite a variety. Service wasn't so great, but that seemed to be the case at most restaurants in the area. The staff were polite & always willing to help us. Great service! I have to recommend the reastuarant at LangiLangi. it is one of the best restaurants in the Nungwi/Kendwa area.
I booked garden view bungalows which are really nice, but after 2 nights we got an upgrade to sea view room which is located on top of the restaurant. The view was stunning - you should try it!Sele - the owner - is a very nice guy, who will tell you stories of his 'rusta-man' live. He's fantastic cook too - every morning he gets a fresh catch from local fishemens and few hours later you get it on your plate for lunch! Having stayed at LangiLangi for two weeks, we really got to experience the friendly and personal service at this family run hotel. The hotel is locally owned, and is placed on land that has been in the family for several generations.
The family factor certainly shines through in the staffs way of dealing with guests. We continuously felt that we got "that little extra something" and always felt welcome. The little extra, was besides the gorgeous rooms - decorated with traditional zanzibari furniture, the wonderful and tasty food and the splendid environment the hotel lies in - whether you are at the pool in the garden or suntanning by the seaview front. Langilangi Beach Bungalows Zanzibar are self contained safe box and fridge, hot water, ac, they are great. We watched the sunset every evening with glass of wine. we did nothing much except pure relaxation. . there is fisherman village 5 minutes walk and we went there and brought wine for our room as in the hotel bring your own booze, or they can arrange beer or wine for you anytime.
