Mara Simba Lodge in Masai Mara Game ReserveThe Mara Simba lodge sits overlooking a dramatic bend on the bank of the Talek, a tributary of the Mara River, gently blending into the surrounding wilderness. 
Stretching almost a kilometer along the river the grounds on the bank remain in their virgin condition, while the landscaped gardens filled with indigenous trees at the back draw a great variety of birds and butterflies. 
The lodge was conceived with an emphasis on exclusivity and comfort. It was designed to complement its surroundings and is decorated in Masai traditional style. Wide, well-lit pathways connect the Public areas and rooms. The meals are taken in a nicely decorated and well laid out dining room and are on a buffet basis. The choice is excellent when you consider that a lot of the content would no doubt have to be sourced in from elsewhere. Mara Simba is a wonderful lodge in a wonderful place. Our room was large, well appointed, very comfortable bed with a balcony overlooking a river where giant crocodiles swam and on the other side of the river baboons ran around like, well, baboons. Our room was spacious three single beds, really clean, fab bathroom with spotlights and fantastic water pressure! All rooms look like they have fantastic views over a creek and we had a fab veranda. I sat out there and nearly cried how fantastic it was it was so tranquil and beautiful scenery. Mara Simba was conceived not just as an overnight stop but also as a safari resort, as the ultimate lodge in the Masai Mara.
