Migration Camp Serengeti

SBI!

Everything about Migration Camp Serengeti was out of this world. We had arrived by bush plane and were met by a guide who was waiting for us at the airstrip with a picnic, cold drinks, including wine and cold beer.

He inquired what we had seen thus far and what we were expecting from this part of our 6-day safari.

Since we had not seen many cats, we were hoping that we might see them during our 2-days in the Serengeti. Within the first hour we had located 12 lions with their cubs, Not a bad start.

Throughout the 2 days with him, he made sure that we got to see leopards, cheetahs and more lions, not to discount that we saw hundreds of zebras and all other forms of African wildlife.

He was also very knowledgeable about birds and vegetation, which made our trip even more interesting. In fact we got to see mant species of vultures and eagles as well during our drive.

At Migration Camp, the managers and staff made us fell welcome from the start, by greeting us with a hot towel and a cold juice.

Throughout our stay, they were always friendly, attentive and professional, without being obstructive.

They made us feel at home, would inquire about how our day had gone, gave lots of advise about ways of making our stay enjoyable.

Our room overlooked a hippo water hole thus at night we could hear them grunting along with the baboons that seemed to have a hard time settling down.

We had a few giraffes visit our "tent" as well as the cutest rock hyrax, which, along with his family, made sure we knew they were there throughout our stay.

Although quite noisy, their cuteness made up for it. Still, along with the grunting of the hippos, it is wise to have some earplugs if you are a light sleeper.

We were so exhausted by our safari drive that we didn't mind them and fell asleep rather quickly.

Like all Serengeti Lodges, the food and the service are exceptional, this place being no exception.

At Migration Camp Serengeti, they had a wide menu to chose from and great African wines, all served under a beautiful sky overlooking the forestation and occasional "visitors" or the zillions stars at night.

Our room with its king-size bed, luxurious comfortable leather chairs and fantastic decor was also a great place to relax.

The bathrooms are fully equipped with solar-heated hot-water showers.

At all the Migration Camp Serengeti, we also appreciated that they offered, free of charge, to do our laundry, such that we always left for the next part of our trip with clean clothes.

No need to rough it even if you are in the wilderness and bush country.Click Here For More Information About Migration Camp in Tanzania
