I stayed at the Movenpick Royal Palm Hotel Dar Es Salaam and found it to be a very good and comfortable hotel and would certainly recommend it to others.

Great bar with live entertainment every evening. Also, fantastic pool area, plenty of sun lounges. The gym looked very modern and well equipped.

The rooms are spacious and beds are really comfortable. A great little thing I found in the room was that they had electrical outlets for all countries (so you can charge up your mobile phones, laptops, iPods etc without having a particular adapter)!

I was lucky enough to have access to the Lounge on the Executive Floor (7th). You can help yourself to drinks from the lounge. There is also access to computers & the internet here, although the connection is a bit slow.

The rooms are generous, with equally generous bathrooms. Modern furnishings in the room with in-room safe, ample wardrobe and desk space.

Practically everything you would need. Internet is via the cable at the desk, provided at a reasonable price too.

The hotel has some great facilities, such as a great pool area, fully equipped gym, massage parlours, bars and a couple of restaurants.

The hotel is also located close to local eateries as well. So you won't have to always get stuck with paying hotel prices for your meals or drinks.

A supermarket is also within walking distance and a bank is directly across the road. It's also easy to get a taxi at the hotel to get to where you need to go.

Restaurants : breakfast buffet is absolutely adequate with a wide variety of foodstuffs.

The Italian restaurant on site is very decent, although a bit pricy. The hotel bar is great as is the bar staff.

Wednesday evening it's lobster eve - fantastic choice and very good food !
