Palacina Hotel Nairobi is a magical hotel which has completely changed my opinion of Nairobi...I cant wait to go again! Palacina perfectly blends colonial flair with modern luxury.

The rooms are terrific:spacious, elegant with african woven baskets on the wall, dark polished wood and comfy sofas.

They have a big bathroom, walk in closet with safe and a large balcony. The location was perfect for us-we were not keen on being in the middle of Nairobi so staying a little out of town meant that we were not in the thick of traffic, pollution and noise...but still close enough to drive to all the sights.

The staff are amazing-so gentle and kind. The hospitality is truly remarkable. Afternoon high tea with scones. cream and straweberry jam is included in the rate...a lovely touch which we really enjoyed.

The Moonflower Restaurant has great food and a fab band...old time Jazz. highly recomend the Avocado Tartare and the Red Snapper.

Loved it! Palacina is a boutique hotel that really captures the magic of Kenya. THis is how a hotel should be run. Kudos to the management and staff!
