The rooms are very spacious. Probably one of the most spacious rooms I’ve been in that is meant to be of standard quality. They have a few places to eat. The ones I had experienced were the Thorntree and Zen (within the Exchange bar). The Exchange bar was once the Kenyan stock exchange. The food is surprisingly good, offering light meals.

I had the chef’s calamari at the Exchange bar, which was good for a light meal. The calamari was cooked perfectly. The Thorntree was once the place to meet for the local Europeans. You can sample a varied menu at the Thorntree, offering Italian, Indian, Asian, Kenyan and some items from the grill. The food here is also good, with decent portions.

There is nothing to fault the room, as every creature comfort is catered for. And for those that have issues with packing light, the ample wardrobe space will surely cover you. You will be guaranteed a very comfortable stay in this hotel.

The service you can expect from the staff is top notch. All of them are very polite and always smiling. They are always happy to assist with anything you ask for.

Front desk staff are very efficient. The personal trainer is always around to make sure everyone was OK and offering assistance to anyone who needed it. The wait staff is always attentive and ready to serve. The porters are just a happy bunch of guys and very friendly.

The facilities available at Sarova Stanley Hotel Nairobi are complete with a fully equipped gym, along with personal trainer, health spa, pool, business centre and plenty of restaurants and bars. I highly recommend the 1 hour Swedish massage.The location of the hotel also makes it perfect for you to wander into the surrounding shops. For the serious shopaholics, there is Nakumatt directly opposite the hotel which is open 24 hours.
