I loved Serena Inn Zanzibar. Travelling solo, the staff was attentive and wanting to please at all times. The food was fabulous, the room was cleaned daily to a "T", had lots of help with the business centre.

The walking tour of Stonetown is a must-do, and the sunsets were to die for. not many other tourists around, so I got the best of the best.

Serena Inn Zanzibar hotel is right on a really nice beach (depending if the tide is high or low), it is also a very short walk from the centre of stone town.

From the moment we arrived the people were soo great! The doorman greeted us and got us a nice tropical cocktail! Make sure you make reservations at the Terrance restaurant if you visit this hotel, the view is amazing!

The pool was the best pool I had ever been in anywhere in the world! Most hotel we go to, the pools are really cold and you can only stand to be in them for a short time but this pools temperature was just right!

The manager was always coming to our table morning and night to make sure our stay was going well.

Room was fabulous with a sea view and a hammock on the balcony. Suite was amazing, had a lounge, dressing area, separate toilet, bedroom and en suite.

Enough wardrobe space to satisfy anyone. Bath robes, ample towels and toiletries supplied. Each evening someone comes to turn your bed down, spray the room and pull down the mosquito nets.

Coffee shop has a small selection of continental pastries and offers various kinds of coffee etc.

Main bar, staff very efficient and friendly. We only had breakfast in the restaurant, good selection of fruit and pastries and lovely staff once again. We were seated by the window so had lovely ocean views as we ate.

Pool is very attractive and clean, and usually very quiet. Towels are provided on the sun loungers.

Gift shop - part of the coffee shop, a surprising number of items on sale in a relatively limited space.
