We arrived at Serena Safari Lodge in Serengeti National Park at dusk, as the sun was setting behind the quaint huts and lights began to twinkle on. It was amazing way to be introduced to what became our favorite place that we stayed on our trip.

The hot towel and tangerine juice, accompanied with the effusive "Jambos" from the staff made us feel welcomed and at home.
The accommodation, cleanliness, quality of the food and ambience were all outstanding and only exceeded by the incredible customer service and friendliness of the staff. They couldn't do enough to make our stay terrific.

Walking into our room we were astonished to see that such quaint "huts" could be so luxurious and gorgeous inside.
The bathroom was beautiful with soft and fluffy towels, the armoire was a welcome place to unpack our suitcases, and the sleeping area was completely surrounded by a mosquito net that added to the charm and romance of the place.
We also had a beautiful view of the sunset from a balcony that also allowed us to view some wildlife during the days.Click for more information about this hotel in Tanzania Serengeti region
We also took this opportunity to do some laundry -- and found the prices to be amazingly affordable and the service was impeccable.
The rest of the lodge was a great place to hike around and take in the beauty of the Serengeti.
The main service area of the lounge is open air and you travel down terraced paths and up stairs to the dining hall, lounge, front desk, so that you feel like you are always enjoying the natural beauty.
I also made time to experience a Swedish massage -- an amazing experience that took place in a luxury tent out by the pool area.
I lay there in bliss as the rain started to softly fall and wildlife called out. It was a perfect moment. The pool was gorgeous and both it and the veranda on the lounge made a great place to reflect and enjoy complimentary tea and coffee.
Our room and bathroom were very comfortable, and I loved the unique architectural details and decor.
Someone put a great deal of time into making the theme and atmosphere cohesive throughout the lodge. The grounds looked like something out of a movie set.
At night, the lodge buildings glow in soft lights, and everything is bathed in a magical glow.
In the mornings, there were hornbills everywhere in the trees. I loved the fact that everywhere you look at the Serengeti Serena Lodge you're reminded that you're in Africa.
The large domed dining area mimics the shape of the bungalows and has carved wooden poles decorating the interior.
The meals are served on a round buffet and the cooks stand in the center and prepare food. We had lamb kebabs and sausage for dinner, and we ate large helpings of both.
I was impressed with the service, food preparation, and displays in the restaurant. After dinner, we used the lodge's internet access and enjoyed a traditional dance show in the main lounge.
On top of the excellent accommodation, we had great game viewing in the Central Serengeti. When we go back, we will definitely dedicate more time to Serena Safari Lodge in Serengeti National Park.Check rates and availability of this Safari Hotel here
