Seronera Wildlife Lodge Serengeti is the best place to stay at while on your vacation in Serengeti National Park in Tanzania. On this page we give you a detailed account on our vacation at this lodge. Stayed for 3 nights at Seronera Wildlife Lodge Serengeti, my God what a classical place on earth is it , you have to really experience it to believe it . A pair of eyes is not enough to see the beauty of wildlife and nature at Serengeti. Seronera wildlife lodge is located in beautiful soundings with huge boulders and it is well ventilated with lot of open space. we were lucky to see lot of game lying on the bed it self, even hippos at night , what a sight .If you are a lover of wildlife if you don't visit Serengeti in your life time then you have committed a great sin .
The setting is very cool, built in the Serengeti amongst a rock outcropping. You will be spending your time with the resident monkeys, baboons and hyrax. Upon the rock outcropping is a newer pool that looks like it's close and it should be pretty neat. Also from this vantage point is a view of some of the best sunsets I've seen on this planet. The lobby itself is nothing to write home about. The bar and restaurant are spacious and are integrated into the environment. The rooms themselves are a bit "motel-like" but VERY adequate. We had adjoining rooms and one night we heard a chomping noise outside our sliding doors. There, lit by the full moon was a juvenile hippo, grazing very loudly outside our window-probably 10-15 feet away. I don't know if any lodges are close to anything like Seronera Wildlife Lodge Serengeti , but there was certainly plenty to see near here. We saw all the wildlife you could ask for, including cheetah and leopard. Service was above average and, while these aren't what I'd consider luxurious accommodations, they certainly are fine for a family who is flexible. Because of the location of Seronera Wildlife Lodge Serengeti , the power and hence the water were switched off during the day and at night.
Not so important when you are out on safari or sleeping, but an early arrival on the first day means that you have to wait for that first refreshing shower. The game drives from here, including a trip to the Serengeti visitor centre, were superb. We were lucky in that the seasons are all running a bit funny ( good old global warming) and we arrived in the middle of the migration. We saw every imaginable creature including the big 5. I've never seen hyena's in such numbers before. All the predators were very well fed.
