I had only booked a 2 night stay at Sheshe Baharini Beach Hotel Mombasa but ended up staying 10 nights. The place is beyond beautiful, the beach is better than any i have seen on my travels including the Zanzibar beaches.

The food was excellent and fresh, the accommodation fantastic with large beds, very very clean, which i did not expect as the hotel is one of the more reasonable priced ones in the coast. For value and best holiday there is no better place and for the rates i was charged i am truly amazed.

Its just south of Mombassa at Tiwi beach at the end of a dirt road, on a tropical beach - a small resort hotel at the end of the green season when you're the only guests and the entire stafff decides to spoil you.

In high season this would be a truly charming and very well run small resort - its even more beautiful than its web photos with lovely cottages, tropical gardens, a great pool and a fantastic stretch of beach. Super fresh seafood, tropical fruit, an inspired chef and lots of good wine.

Two days of sunshine and one of tropical storms - an experience we'll remember all our lives.

LOCATION: Sheshe Baharini Beach Hotel Mombasa a Luxurious Boutique hotel on the sands of Tiwi Beach, on Kenya's magnificent coastline.

The Hotel is located an hour and a half's drive away from Mombasa Island's Moi International Airport, which is flown to daily by most major airlines.

The hotel is located on Tiwi Beach, a 20 minute drive away from the South Coast's busiest resort - Diani Beach. Tiwi Beach shares Diani Beach's soft white sand, warm blue water, and a never-ending stretch of palm trees.

Where Diani and Tiwi Beaches differ is in how idyllic they are. Diani's coastal strip is crowded with people, pollution and vendors.

Tiwi beach, however, is much less densely populated. Here you can truly stand on the beach and not see another soul on the sand. Yet all the amenities of Diani Beach, its golf course, hospital, shops, restaurants and clubs are only a short taxi ride away.

ACCOMMODATION: : Sheshe Baharini Beach Hotel Mombasa is family run. There are only 24 rooms spread over the seafront property. This ensures intimate, friendly and personalized hospitality. Fantastic service is part of the SheShe experience.

The rooms at the hotel feature a romantic, ambient atmosphere. All the rooms are en-suite, and are elegantly furnished. The double rooms have exquisite four-poster beds. Every room also has an air conditioner and a ceiling fan.

There are three types of rooms. Standard and Deluxe rooms face the swimming pool or the tropical gardens. Superior Seafront rooms are a stone throw away from the beach, and feature a private verandah overlooking the Indian Ocean. Perfect for couples!

The hotel's restaurant has on open plan, making al-fresco meals a norm rather than an exception. There is a pool-side bar, as well as a bar on the beach.

STANDARD: : The 12 standard rooms overlook either the swimming pool or the tropical flora that is abundant at Sheshe Baharini Beach Hotel Mombasa. They are available with either a double bed (double room), or two single beds (twin room). The rooms have en-suite shower, washing basin, toilet, and all have balconies. The rooms all have mosquito nets, air conditioning, a ceiling fan and a telephone.

DELUXE: : The 6 deluxe rooms are larger than the standard rooms, and feature a double bed. The rooms overlook the swimming pool and gardens. They also have private balconies. SUPERIOR FRONT ROOMS: The seafront rooms are split into two categories, there are 4 seafront rooms, and 2 superior seafront rooms. These rooms have magnificent views of the beach and the Indian ocean. The rooms are large, and have stunning balconies. The rooms all have mosquito nets, air conditioning, a ceiling fan and a telephone.
