Hotel Africana

During my stay, I witnessed an occasion that took place there and it looked so wonderful.he hotel staff provides good and warm services,

The restaurants provides very good menus which combine both African and continental dishes. I must say, the chefs are really professionals.

If you want to hold any conference,party and any other gathering i would recommend this hotel

Shangari-la Hotel

Laundry is free of charge. Breakfast is good (eggs, beans, flakes, toast, some fruits and juices) and served in the lovely and quiet garden.

You also get the local newspapers (which are worth reading, esp. the outspoken Daily Monitor).and New Vision

The hotel is safe and very well located in the heart of Kampala, next to the Sheraton (with an excellent and affordable restaurant).

Several other restaurants and bars are in walking distance. And it is very safe indeed to walk around, even at night.
The Shangri-La is adjacent to the Kampala Club. As a hotel guest you can use its facilities (Tennis courts, Swimming Pool, Gym). The gym was 2000 Shillings per day (1800 = 1 USD), the pool is free

Transport to/from the airport can be organised by the staff. The rate is 30 USD.

. The hotel has a generator (which is good for the internet access during the power shortages).

Location

Shangri-La Hotel is a lovely small boutique hotel situated in the very posh Nakasero area, in the same complex as the famous and historical Kampala Club, opposite Sheraton Hotel. One could not think of a safer place in terms of security. A five minutes walking to the city center

Fair Way Hotel

I really enjoyed my stay at Fairway Hotel. Remember it is also a three star hotel but to assure you,its hospitality matches that of a 5 star hotel.The staffs were all very friendly and the place was very clean. The rooms were all neat and had basically everything you need. The beds were pretty comfortable and my room had a nice view of the courtyard.

The hotel grounds are spectacular, very beautiful gardens. The location is very convenient and I never felt unsafe at any point during my stay.

There is a mall called Garden City a few minutes away and the golf course is directly across the street from the hotel.

There is a new bar and lobby,so everything was at par and in short,i enjoyed it to the fullest.
My only complaint would be the room service, it took like 40 minutes to get my meal. I expect my food fast but it could have been a busy night.

Overall, great place, would definitely go backThe Fairway three star Hotel is a hotel in a garden, the unique setting with the main building surrounded by trim lawns, flower bushes, shady trees and magnificent palm trees which were planted some years ago.
Location

The Hotel is located on a four and a half acre plot. The sweeping views from the rooms include the lush Kitante valley, Kololo hill and the Kampala 18 hole golf course.

Kampala Holiday Express Hotel

I had booked it because of its location on a busy and central intersection in Kampala, putting it within walking distance of everything from the Nakasero Market (a stone's throw) to the taxi park to the upscale Garden City mall.

It is also conveniently located above Hot Loaf Bakery, of which I am a regular patron and great fan of their samosas,cakes and other pastries.

The location didn't disappoint, and our window looked directly out on the intersection, affording a great view of the on goings of night-time Kampala.For those who do mind about expensive things, this hotel looks good to be among three star hotels in Uganda.

The complementary breakfast is good, with great bread (by local standards) that comes from the bakery downstairs and a variety of fruits and eggs made to order.

In short: a great value for your money and I would argue the best you'll find in a Kampala three star hotels. A fantastic location to be right in the city and explore; this is a great place to do a night or two in Kampala if your itinerary is bringing you on safari, etc for the rest of your trip.
