From when you first arrive at Tribe-The Village Market Hotel Nairobi, you understand the thought that has been installed into this hotel. With great service, amazing food and an unbelievable comfortable bed comes an experience like no other in Nairobi.
The reception is a sleek affair of black stone. The corridor leading to rooms are lined with flowing silky cloth hung on the walls to give a mysterious cave-like impression.Check rates and availability of this hotel here 
The cool room with its fresh bed and old-fashioned white stand-alone bathtub in the clean bathroom tempted you to spend the rest of your life there. A couple of days later, on dark and cool night we sat on the terrace overlooking the dimly lit and stylish pool area with my colleagues. We had ordered a plate of shrimp and vegetable tempura that we washed down with a velvety Cabernet. 
Tribe just opened in September 2008. It's located adjacent to Village Market in the Nairobi suburb of Gigiri. This adds to the convenience, as it is easy just to wander to the shopping and restaurant complex on foot. The place is also very convenient to the UN compound in Nairobi. The food is good - well prepared and presented - and the staff have been very well trained. They are attentive but have not had their sense of humour trained out of them. Very modern. Great service. Brand new hotel, and the pool area and spa are not yet complete.
Our total experience from check-in to check-out was nothing short of Amazing. The hotel itself is located in the best part of town next to a protected lush tropical gorge. The very chic restaurant was nice and the food was exquisite - 5 star. Hotel has rooms with a large flat screen TV, surround sound, and comfy couches to watch movies or TV along with a large DVD collection to choose from. In the main atrium, hotel had a number of cool spaces and places to lounge or dine. The hotel staff are extremely attentive, courteous, and genuinely helpful. Check rates and availability of this hotel here The beautiful interior design and architecture, the abundance of fine arts and beautiful decor all around, and the nice ambient music made the atmosphere of this boutique hotel fun and vibrant. The outdoor pools with waterfalls and the surrounding area were beautiful. A bit farther from town than you may expect but well worth the drive.
