Uganda Mandazi Recipe and How to Prepare it


Its simple to make Uganda Mandazi Recipes. On this page we shall guide on how to prepare Mandazi for your family.

Amandazi is a traditional Ugandan recipe for a classic snack made from a pastry of corn meal and wheat flour bound with egg and milk that's fried in oil before serving. The full recipe is presented here and I hope you enjoy this classic Ugandan version of: Amandazi.

Uganda mandazi, Kenya Mandazi, Tanzania, Manzazi, Zanziibar Mndazi

Ingredients

•100g corn meal

•30g wheat flour

•20g sugar

•1 egg

•125ml milk

•Oil for deep frying

A mandazi recipe Preparation:

Method:Mix together the flours and sugar. Add the egg and milk and stir to form a viscous dough. Meanwhile heat the oil in a pan to a depth of about 6cm. Once the oil is hot add the batter 1 tbsp at a time and fry until golden. Remove with a slotted spoon, drain on kitchen paper and serve once all the Amandazi are done.
