Foreign aid workers and others who come independently play a very important role in Uganda. Many social and health care services, as well as environmental conservation and economic (income-generating) opportunities depend on the generosity of foreign individuals, companies, organizations and governments both within Uganda and overseas. Hospitals, schools, water wells and sewage systems, and other large projects have benefited thousands of Uganda families.
