Are you worried about when to go Uganda? It true that many visitors to Uganda get misled about seasons and security in Uganda. No more worry because on this page you will get free information about the best season to go to Uganda.

When to go to Uganda?" is a commonly asked question. Since most people go to Uganda for the gorillas, the question of the best time to travel to Uganda is often based around the best time to go gorilla trekking. January and February, and June to September are periods acknowledged as the best time to go to Uganda in general - and this includes gorilla trekking.Click here for more information about Gorillas in Uganda

This is, quite simply, because they are the drier months: Uganda is an equatorial country and things can get a little wet. Although you can expect rain at any time of year (average rainfall for most of Uganda is between 1 000mm and 2 000mm a year), there are definite wet seasons.

The two southern rainy seasons are from April to May and again from October to November. As Uganda's gorilla trekking is based in the south of the country (in the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park and Mgahinga National Park) it is obvious that the best time to go gorilla trekking lies outside these times.

The northern rainy season is from April to October, but much of northern Uganda is off the tourist track completely anyway. It's perhaps not the best time to travel to Uganda during the rainy seasons, but it's not completely impossible - prepare, however, for delays and possible itinerary changes.
