Sheraton Hotel

The time we went there, we found the service surprisingly very good. Sheraton has the Quickest Airport pick-up without a hitch. Check-in is fast, and simple.

We were booked in room 4 of floor 11 which was comparable to any other 5 Star hotel there was tea & coffee in room, but no minibar.Their room service prompt if I may say , Their bathroom was clean and modern, the room fresh and modern. Laundry was done same day, and easy.

It has the Greatest views of Kampala city because it is on one of the hills of Kampala City. No noise at all!

In the morning we were served a Very good breakfast, good food and service. The restaurants were very good, never a problem.

Rhino pub/disco is a pub/disco open to outside guests, which is fun and interesting.

If this doesn't take your fancy, the piano lounge in the main foyer has an average selection the usual Johnny Walker RED, BLACK and BLU, but is very upmarket by East African standards, smart furnishings, great staff and Italian coffees.

In short it has the following

Park Square Cafe and temptations Pastry Shop

Rhino Pub.

Hippo Restaurant

Victoria Breakfast Room.

Banquet & Conference Centre.

Swimming pool, Gym, Sauna and Steam Bath.

24 hour business centre.

Shopping centre.

Laundry Shop.

High speed internet in designated areas of hotel.

Forex Bureau

Imperial Botanical Resort

This is a luxury, international, business & leisure hotel in Uganda .It is situated in Entebbe town after you come from the Airport. It has the most impressive facilities and views of Lake Victoria.I stayed here several nights while on Marketing Seminar.

It has Great location and close to Entebbe airport, and it take a taxi ride of about 20 minutes to Kampala city.

As a Teenager, I found the hotel to be clean and safe.Several floors have recently been remodeled, and the rooms I stayed in were quiet, large and very clean.

Breakfast is included in the price of the room and is served in a large dining room in buffet style.

The swimming pool looked very clean, the grounds were well-maintained, safe, with walking paths and beautiful trees. Across the street is an outdoor restaurant with excellent fresh fish.

The employees were very nice, and the property had security guards.

Serena Hotel

Having visited most of Kampala Luxury hotels, decided that Serena is the best amongst Kampala’s luxury large hotels I was there for 4 days and I can’t fault it

The Service - I haven’t a single complaint.

The Staff - excellent, friendly, lovely people

The Hotel itself - couldn't have been more pleased. Modern western style hotel

The Grounds - perfect

The Food - excellent

Gym - a huge, up to date gym

Spa - great spa treatments and facilities

I don’t mean this in a bad way - but it really is amazing to find a hotel like this in Uganda. And in fact is a testament to the progress and modernisation Kampala has gone through in recent years
As a frequent visitor to Uganda,I have been to other luxury hotels for a drink e.g (Speke, Sheraton, Grand Imperial & The Royal Imperial)

Whilst all very nice, they don't come close to the Serena

If you talk to the locals in Kampala - they all tell you that the Serena is the best place in town. (In fact most people are saying that it is the best hotel in east Africa)

Granted – it is expensive, but if you are looking to stay at one of the better Luxury hotels in Kampala – or indeed spoil yourself then Serena is a great choice

If it is out of your budget then it’s certainly a place you may want to visit for a drink one evening or even for a buffet lunch or dinner as its a lovely place to hang out
Recommended: for visitors who want to enjoy the best views of the town, the superb location and all the luxuries this elegant Serena hotel has to offer, and for those who like modern architectural buildings.
