It is very unfortunate that the number of students who're joining post secondary education in Uganda is low compared to those who sit for exams to join that level.

For example 10,000-14,000 students per year leave school qualified to go on to higher education, only some 25% of them are able to find places at the limited number of institutions if at all they happen to have money to push them on.For those who are chance can get vacancies in government universities and institutions and others will have to cater for themselves to any private university or institution

In the last few years, Uganda has seen a rise in the number of Universities in the country. This is underscored by the increasing number of students that qualify for University entrance.
