Like any other country in Africa where peace prevails, Uganda entertainment venture is the hottest business of the day. Ugandans like fun and at the end of every hard working day, many Ugandans pass places of entertainment for an hour or two.
Wherever you go turn, wherever you go there is music and people swaying and dancing to the beat. Music, Dance in Uganda is as normal as breathing. It would be a shame if as a visitor to Uganda you would miss that. Below are a few places and groups that I have enjoyed on several occasion, places and events that I take my out of town visitors to. Enjoy Kampala In Kampala and other towns of Uganda, Discos are very much the order of the day, Angenoir and Club Silk being the leading dance halls. Some of the disco clubs present every day while others have particular days. But all of them will be open on Fridays Saturdays and Sundays. 
Their music usually varies from night to night in style that is; House Reggae, Caribbean, Western music one night and African the other .It is extremely loud all nights and no Hotels in the city centre are immune. You there fore have to learn to dance or move out. The good this with the music in hotels is at a low sound making it conducive for the place. For those who don’t like public dancing, occasionally, the manager of the entertainment place will provide the necessary entertainment available be it African cultural dances and usually Karaoke based on any type of music. Entertainment is not to Kampala only but to other towns of Uganda .For teens if you go to western Uganda we have Mbarara town with many leisure places like Vision empire discotheque.For those continuing to bwindi gorilla trucking should not forget to pass Kabale town with its greatest discotheque called Earthquake and another one called Match and Mix. Just when you are in Kabale ask any one there and they will direct you. If we take the route of FortPortal, we have Heartbeat discotheque which is in the middle of the town with in the new hotel basement .if you don’t like thunder blasting music, you can go to the hotel upstairs where low tone music is played.
Apart from discos Ugandan Musicians entertain visitors in different place in the whole country . Every tribe in Uganda have a group of traditional singers and entertainers who are available every weekend for free or cheapest for every one. There is no way you can understand Ugandan culture without going upcountry and join these entertainment groups. On these Uganda entertainment places, Uganda foods are always served to revelers which include roasted goat ,pork, and many dishes depending on ones preference and the good side of it is that they are always cheap and good compared to big hotels. So next time you come in Uganda don’t confine yourself in Kampala as the upcountry places of entertainment are also uncompromised. In conclusion therefore, although Ugandan like to work and in most cases overworking themselves, they always spare a little time on weekends or in the evening after work and enjoy themselves, so where ever you are, don’t think Ugandans are workaholic to the extent of foregoing leisure, they also like outing.
